Thinking Through #TechWeekNY: Is AI Making Our Lives Better?
Join the conversation.
If we were to deploy AI systems explicitly to support human flourishing, what would that look like and what are the risks and challenges?
I’ll be hosting a panel in partnership with Human Machines, bringing together engineers working at the frontier of AI to explore this question across health, work, creative expression, and human connection.
🌟🌟 This panel made its debut at AI Week and it’s back for Tech Week NY, sharper and better! 🌟🌟
What is special about our panelists is that I’ve met all of them through Thinking Through. So I know that they are not simply AI builders but also deep thinkers who question. This also means that some of you have already thought alongside them.
Geoff Gibbins, business strategist at Human Machines, working on how AI can amplify human capacities in the workplace
Benjamin Shapiro, PhD, scientist and engineer working at the intersection of AI and biomedicine, focused on drug discovery
Seniha Koksal, computer scientist and artist teaching at Parsons, exploring whether autonomous agents can generate genuinely new creative forms
Evan Dorsky, robotics engineer who has taught tech ethics at Stanford and Olin College, examines AI and interpersonal and societal relationships.
Join us on Friday June 5th at 6.30pm in Midtown.
Tickets are in this link with a discounted price.
Looking forward!
